Bus seat savers during rush hour need to stop
People keep using backpacks to hold seats on the 7:15 AM route downtown, but that's not how it works when every stop has 10 people waiting. I've watched three riders walk past open seats last Tuesday because nobody wanted to ask the bag person to move. Why do we pretend this is okay instead of just calling it out?

Oh man, I feel this one hard. I take the same 6:45 bus every morning and there's this one guy who spreads his jacket and bag across two seats like he's saving spots for a whole family. Last week I finally asked him to move it and he got all huffy, but you know what, nobody else was going to do it. It's like we've all agreed to this weird silent rule that we'd rather stand than cause a scene. I get that people might have a friend coming, but you can hold the seat with your eyes or just call out when you see them. It's not that hard to be decent.
