I finally gave in and tried taking the train instead of driving downtown

Always thought the bus would be slower and more hassle, but after 3 weeks of parking costing $18 a day I switched. Now I'm not sure if the extra 15 minutes each way is worth saving the money - what's your experience been?

Crazy how we all just accept certain costs until they finally break us. Once you hit that tipping point it forces you to actually test alternatives instead of just assuming they're worse. The time vs money tradeoff is different for everyone but at least now you know what the real choice looks like instead of just guessing.

Not sure I'd call it "crazy" since most people are just trying to get through their day without overthinking every subscription or service fee. A lot of times the alternatives are worse in small ways that pile up too, it's just different tradeoffs. I guess if that tipping point gets you to switch, cool, but I've also seen people jump to something cheaper and then quietly switch back a few months later.
