My coworker told me to take the 7:15 bus instead of the 7:30 to avoid the school rush

She said the 7:15 from Maple Street is always quieter because it gets ahead of the high school kids. I tried it last Tuesday and the bus was packed with a different school's soccer team heading to a tournament. I sat on the floor by the back door for the whole 40 minute ride to downtown. Has anyone else found a secret 'good' bus time that actually backfired?

Oh man, that's the worst kind of bus luck. I had a similar thing happen trying to beat the college crowd, only to get stuck with a convention shuttle.

Honestly, a convention shuttle sounds way better than clowns. At least you get normal people in weird costumes. Clowns at 6am is a whole different level of creepy, that's like horror movie stuff.

That 7:15 bus trick is a classic trap. I gave up on finding a perfect time. Now I just check the transit app for real time crowding before I walk to the stop. Sometimes you just get unlucky, like a team or a field trip. If I see a bus is full, I'll wait for the next one or grab a coffee. Beats sitting on the floor.
