Overheard a bus driver say his max load is 58 passengers and now I always count
I was on the 4 bus last week in Portland and the driver was chatting with another driver at a stop. He said his bus is rated for 58 people max including standees. I never thought about that before. Now I can't stop counting people when it gets crowded lol. Has anyone else ever noticed if their bus actually hits its rated capacity?

Wait, is 58 actually that many though? A standard 40 foot bus can fit like 40 seated plus standees, that doesn't seem too crazy to me. I've been on buses in NYC during rush hour where I'm pretty sure we hit 100 easy.
