Overheard a kid on the 7:15 bus ask his mom what a 'transfer' was
It hit me that with apps and tap cards, a whole piece of bus culture is just gone. Anyone else miss the paper slips?

Lost art of the perfect transfer fold!

Ah man, this brings back a memory! @vera503 you're so right, it really is a lost art. My grandma taught me her way of folding cloth napkins for holidays, she had this whole ritual where she'd press each one with steam and then fold them into these perfect rectangles that stacked like bricks. I tried it last Thanksgiving and ended up with a pile that looked more like crumpled maps than anything neat.

What's the biggest thing you're trying to fold? For fitted sheets, I tuck all the corners into each other first, makes a neat square. For big tablecloths, a clean flat surface is key, I use my bed. The real trick is to smooth out every single wrinkle before you make the first fold, otherwise you just lock them in.
