PSA: My brother told me to always leave 10 minutes early for the train, I ignored him for months
He rides the same route every day and kept saying those 10 minutes save you from at least one delay a week. I thought he was just being over cautious but after missing the express twice last month I finally tried it. Now I get a seat instead of standing and I can actually read my book before work. Anyone else have a tip from a fellow commuter they wish they'd listened to sooner?

I told my buddy the same thing about leaving five minutes early for the bus and he laughed at me, now he's the one standing in the rain every morning while I'm dry as a bone with my coffee. But honestly, your brother's advice is like those people who say pack your lunch the night before - sounds dumb until you're scrambling at 7am with a half-eaten bagel. I swear by the ten minute rule now too, it's like a cheat code for not hating your morning commute. People think they're saving time by cutting it close, but they're really just paying for it in stress and bad seats.

Tbh @cameron_chen this is like when people say they don't need an umbrella and then get soaked walking to their car.
