Thought earbuds on the train were a waste till my commute got 30 min longer

I was totally against dropping cash on noise canceling earbuds for the bus, but after my route added 30 minutes last month I gave in. First ride with them blocked out the guy playing music on speaker and the engine rumble, actually made the trip bearable. Anyone else cave on something they swore they didn't need?

Totally caved too, now I can't ride without them. Total game changer, right?

Total game changer" is right, @kelly.dylan, more like total wallet drainer am I right? I swore I'd never be one of those guys with the fancy gear but here I am checking the weather app just to see if I can justify wearing the new jacket. I couldn't even look my bank account in the eye for a week after I bought those pedals.
