A customer told me my bench was too neat and it made me rethink my whole workflow
Lady came in with a laptop full of crumbs and said her last guy's messy bench made her trust him more than mine. I laughed it off at first but then I realized I've been judging techs by clean desks for 6 years without a good reason. Anyone else here actually work better in a messy shop, or am I overthinking this one?

My uncle ran a bike shop in Denver where the floor was always greasy and he had lines out the door.
