A lady in her 80s called me a wizard for fixing her email
I was at her house in Tempe last week to swap out a hard drive, and she just needed her email set back up. I showed her the new icon on the desktop and she said, 'You know, you're a wizard to me.' It was such a simple fix, but it meant the world to her. Anyone else have a customer who made a tiny job feel huge?

Oh man, that's the best feeling. I read an article once that called this kind of thing "everyday magic," where a simple tech fix feels like a superpower to someone who doesn't get it. It really shows how much we take for granted. That lady probably felt so relieved to be back in touch with people. Those little wins make the whole job worth it, lol.

My grandma still calls her computer hard drive "the big beige box" and thinks Google is a person. I once spent twenty minutes walking her through how to find a saved photo, only to realize she'd been clicking on the picture of a folder icon on her desktop background wallpaper. The "everyday magic" was me not screaming into a pillow that day.
