A senior tech tore apart my cable management last week at a job in Denver

I was running CAT6 in a server room and this guy with 20 years experience walked by. He said I was mixing power and data cables too close together, and that I'd get interference on that run near the breaker box. I went back and rerouted everything with a 6 inch gap between them, and the network test results came back way cleaner. Has anyone else had a salty old tech call them out on something you thought was fine?

Bet he was the one who taught your boss how to use a toner.

Getting someone to teach toner basics is a whole thing, I swear. I had this one guy at my old job who showed me how to swap a drum sleeve without killing the whole machine, way better than any manual. I just made him walk me through it step by step while I took notes on my phone, and that pretty much solved it for me. Sometimes you just need that one person who actually explains instead of assuming you already know.
