Changed my mind on refurbished laptops after a Dell Latitude in Phoenix

I used to tell everyone to skip refurbs, figured they were just someone else's problems. Then last summer I grabbed a Dell Latitude 5480 off a refurb site for $210 to use as a bench test unit since I was tired of risking my main rig. That thing has run 12 hour stress tests, survived two drops, and only needed a new fan after 9 months. I still check the seller's return policy and warranty, but now I recommend specific refurbs to clients who can't drop $800 on a new business machine. Anyone else flip their stance on this after a good or bad experience?
