Just spent $300 on a thermal camera for my toolkit, and it already paid for itself.

Found a failing VRM on a gaming rig that was just out of warranty, a problem I would have missed with standard diagnostics. What other diagnostic tools have you all found unexpectedly useful?

40 bucks for a USB microscope saved my old MacBook too. They're a lot more useful than people think for small electronics repair.
