My hard line against touching customer BIOS settings just backfired on a simple fix
I always left them alone thinking it was safer, but adjusting one setting cleared up a boot loop that had me ready to swap the whole board.

Man, I totally get this! I was the same way for years, scared to even open the BIOS menu. Then I wasted a whole afternoon replacing parts on a machine that just needed the boot order changed. It was set to try a network boot first and kept failing. Swapped that one setting and it posted like nothing was wrong. I felt so dumb for not checking sooner. Now it's my first move with weird boot issues, saves a lot of headache lol.
