My local library's computer class is filling up, and it's cool to see
I've been a tech for ten years, and I always enjoy when people want to learn. Last month, the library near me started a basic computer care workshop. It's been packed every week. I volunteered to help out, and seeing folks grasp simple fixes is rewarding. It means fewer easy calls for us, and more time for complex jobs. This feels like a step forward for our community. Plus, it's fun to share knowledge.

Can't believe a basic computer care workshop is packing the library every week.

Oh totally! My aunt went to one and called me after, so proud she finally learned how to delete old emails to free up space. She thought her computer was just "full" forever. People really just need someone to show them the simple stuff, like how to update software without getting scared. It's a lifesaver for them.

What exactly surprises you about it, @barnes.mary? A lot of folks never learned this stuff, and they're scared of breaking their expensive laptops or losing photos. I'd guess it's less about "computer care" and more about having a patient person to ask their dumb questions without feeling judged.
