One of those weeks where every ticket was a rerun of a bad movie
Had a stretch last Tuesday through Thursday where I got three separate laptops with the exact same dying HDD clicking noise, all from the same office building in Phoenix. Replaced the drives and cloned them, but man, I kept wondering if they had a power surge or something I missed. Anyone else ever get a run of identical failures and start second-guessing your own process?

Honestly, maybe they just suck. Same office, same machines, same age. That clicking noise is a ticking clock on those older drives anyway. Three at once might just mean they all hit their expiration date within the same week. If you replaced them and the clones work fine, your process is probably solid. Stop hunting for a ghost problem when the simple answer is usually the right one.
