Rant: I used to dread diagnosing intermittent power issues on older desktops.
Started using a $20 PSU tester from Amazon last month, cuts the guesswork time in half. Anyone have a better method for tracking down those random shutdowns?

Man, I feel that pain. You spend an hour swapping RAM sticks, checking temps, and it just dies again when you boot a game. That little tester sounds like a lifesaver for those weird voltage drops. Is it the kind with the digital readout or just the lights?

Dude, yes! I grabbed one of those testers too and it saved me from chasing my tail on an old HP that kept dying during boot. Best $20 I ever spent on that junker.

Honestly, is a random shutdown on an old computer even worth stressing over? Tbh those things are basically disposable at this point. A twenty dollar tool just to keep a dinosaur running feels like extra steps. Ngl I'd just back up the files and let it die.
