That tip about thermal paste application I overheard at Micro Center
Some guy was telling a friend you only need a pea-sized dot in the center, not spreading it around. I tried it on my last Ryzen build and my temps dropped 4 degrees. Has anyone else noticed better results with just one dot?

That "pea-sized dot in the center" advice is the real deal. I had been doing the spread method for years and my Ryzen 3600 would hit 80c under load easy. Switched to just one dot and now it barely breaks 75c. It's wild how much of a difference it makes compared to spreading, I thought I was doing it right but nope.

Wait, you got a 4 degree drop from just changing the application method? That's wild. I did the spread method for years and never thought a dot would make a measurable difference. My 5600x runs at 70c under load with the dot method, and I honestly thought it was just psychological until I saw your numbers.
