TIL a client in Tampa thought a PC restart meant turning the monitor off and on, which explained why his 'fix' never worked.
I had to explain the actual process three separate times before he got it, so what's the most basic tech concept you've had to walk someone through recently?

Oh man, that is painfully familiar. I just had to explain what a web browser is, like the actual program you use to get online. They thought Google was the internet itself. How do you even start that conversation without sounding like you're talking down to them? It makes you wonder what seems totally normal to us that's completely invisible to someone else.

Grace_patel, my dad still calls every computer screen "the Google." I had to draw him a picture of how the browser is like a car and websites are different stores you drive to. It's wild how much we take for granted, right? What's the most basic tech thing you've had to break down for someone?

You had to draw a picture? That's next level.
