An old timer in Spokane told me my broom finish looked like a cat walked through it
He said my strokes were too short and frantic, like I was scared of the concrete. I was using a standard 24-inch push broom and making tiny little swipes. He handed me his 36-inch finishing broom and said 'Long, smooth pulls, like you're painting a fence. One pass, don't go back.' I tried it on a garage slab the next day and the difference was insane. The lines were straight and uniform instead of that choppy, zigzag texture. Anyone else get schooled on their broom technique?
