Poured a slab last Tuesday and a deer ran straight through the wet concrete

Middle of a job in rural Ohio, we're finishing a 12x20 pad. Everything going smooth. Then out of nowhere a young buck comes flying out of the treeline, hits the corner of the slab and leaves hoof prints about 4 inches deep across the whole thing. Owner watched from his porch laughing his head off while I'm standing there with a bull float trying to decide if I should chase it or just fix the mess. Took us an extra 45 minutes to rework that section. Anyone else ever deal with animals ruining a fresh pour?

Did your buddy have to rent a tamper to fix the hoof marks or just go at it with a hand float?

I read somewhere you can just wet it and use a hand float if it's not too deep.
