Skeptical about the water cure for slabs until a finisher in Dallas cut 2 hours off his day
I swore wetting a slab before floating just made a mess, but after trying it on a 900 sq ft pour in Plano last month the cream came up way easier and I finished before lunch, so now I'm wondering if anyone still skips this step on hot days or if I was just slow all along.
You spraying it down or just wetting the surface with a hose? On hot days I soak it a bit and let it sit till the sheen goes dull, then float. Cutting 2 hours off a 900 sq ft pour ain't slow, that's just how much easier the cream works when the slab ain't sucking the water out of your mix.
