Tried a different broom finish on a garage slab last month

I had a client in Springfield who wanted a smooth finish on their new garage floor. I used a standard push broom like always, but it left deep grooves. The next day, I switched to a finer bristle broom and pulled it instead of pushing. The difference after 24 hours was huge, way less texture and a cleaner look. Has anyone else found pulling the broom gives a better finish on smooth jobs?

Yeah, a contractor buddy told me the same trick last year. He said pulling a fine broom slowly, almost dragging it, lets the bristles just kiss the surface without digging in. It works way better for that almost-smooth look people want sometimes.
