Unpopular opinion: guys are curing too fast with the accelerator and blaming the mix
Watched a crew in Tulsa dump a full jug of calcium chloride into a 10 yard load last month, then cuss the plant when it set up on them in the wheelbarrow. I get it, cold pour, everyone wants to get home, but that stuff is measured in coffee cups, not jugs. We ran hot water and blankets on a 40 degree slab that same week and it finished just fine for about $30 in fuel. How are you all handling cold weather pours without turning the mud into a rock in the chute?
