Vent: That Tuesday in Tulsa with the rain and the double pour

We had a 40 yard pour scheduled for a driveway and a sidewalk in Tulsa, two separate trucks coming in at 7am and 11am. First truck showed up fine, we got the forms checked and started screeding, then the sky just opened up around 9:15. Not a drizzle, a full on downpour that lasted 20 minutes and left standing water in the low spots before we could even get the bull float down. Second truck arrived late because the plant got backed up, so we had a cold joint right where the garage apron meets the main slab. I spent the next 6 hours trying to trowel around that seam and it still looks like a weird patch job, customer walked out and said, "I thought you guys knew what you were doing." Anyone else ever have to deal with a surprise storm mid-pour and how did you handle the color difference when it dried darker? That water messed up the finish so bad I'm thinking about offering to rip it out and redo it for free, but that's a whole day and another 10 yards of mix.

Mother Nature really said "let me add some texture to that finish" and not the good kind. At this point the color difference just looks like modern art, tell the customer it's a feature.
