Had a chat with a neighbor about 5G towers and it actually made me pause

He showed me a peer-reviewed study on non-thermal effects from base stations within 300 feet, and I realized I'd been dismissing the whole thing without reading the actual science. Anyone else ever had someone from the other side drop a source that forced you to reconsider your stance?

Man that's exactly what happened to me with GMOs a couple years back. A buddy sent me a paper from an actual food science journal (not some blog) and I felt pretty stupid for having such strong opinions based on headlines. It's humbling when you realize you've been the closed-minded one the whole time. Still not sure I buy everything from that 5G study you mentioned, but at least now you've got a real starting point instead of just a gut feeling.

Take it from someone who's been there. When I finally looked into the actual data on pesticides for my landscaping work, I had to eat a whole lot of crow for stuff I'd been parroting. Best thing you can do is keep that habit of checking the source, even when it makes you feel like a fool. It's a pain, but it's way better than being that guy who's always arguing from a Facebook meme. Now you actually know where the weak spots in your argument are, so you can either fill them in or drop them.
