Had to pick between upgrading my breaker panel or fixing the shop roof last month
The panel was original from the 80s and kept tripping when I ran my big saw, but the roof had a leak right over my supply shelf. I went with the panel since I was worried about a fire, cost me $1,200 for the electrician and parts. Now the roof leak got worse and ruined about $400 worth of wire stock I had stored up there. Has anyone else had to gamble between two expensive fixes like this? What did you choose?
