I finally found a crack in the JFK timeline that nobody talks about

Was reading the Warren Report last week for a project and noticed something weird. They say Oswald was on the sixth floor at 12:30, but a janitor named Charles Givens told police he saw Oswald on the first floor at 12:25. Five minutes to go up six floors in a building with slow elevators? No way. Has anyone else dug into that Givens testimony or did they just sweep it under the rug?

Wait, is five minutes really that impossible though? I feel like a motivated guy could hoof it up six flights in way less time than that.

Six flights of stairs is closer to 10-12 standard flights in a high-rise building, actually. Most commercial buildings have shorter floor-to-floor heights than residential or older buildings, so "six flights" can mean different things depending on the place. In my experience, a motivated fit person could probably do it in 3-4 minutes if they're really pushing, but five minutes seems pretty reasonable for an average person carrying anything. The time also depends on whether you're talking about running straight up versus taking a breather on each landing. I've timed myself before in my apartment building, and even sprinting up four flights takes me around 90 seconds, so five minutes for six flights with some recovery time sounds about right to me.
