Last Thursday was the worst day I've had for finding real evidence in months

I spent six hours digging through old PDFs about the Denver airport murals, trying to match symbol patterns to a 1999 city council meeting transcript. Three tabs crashed, my coffee went cold, and the one forum post that linked to a relevant image was a dead URL from 2014. Then my neighbor came over to borrow a drill and saw my screen, laughed and said 'still on that rabbit hole?' like it was a joke. I snapped at him, felt like an idiot, and didn't find a single solid connection by midnight. Has anyone else hit a wall where sources just vanish or get deleted?

Oh man, I feel this in my soul! I spent three whole evenings chasing a shadow on some old Geocities archive about... honestly I can't even remember what, it was that fruitless. My browser history looks like I'm a conspiracy theorist who also really likes dental diagrams for some reason. The dead URL thing drives me up a wall, especially when it was the one person who actually had the screenshot you need. I swear, someone's out there just deleting the internet one link at a time to mess with us hobbyists. At least when my wife walked in on me yelling at a frozen laptop she brought me a beer instead of laughing, so small victories.
