Rant: The moon landing footage looked sharper on VHS back in 1999 than it does on 4K today

I dug out my old tape from a yard sale in Akron and compared it to the remastered version on streaming, and the grain and angles on the VHS actually feel more like raw broadcast while the new one looks too clean and polished, like someone touched it up, so has anyone else noticed the modern copies seem to hide something or is it just my old TV bias?
