Showerthought: That guy at the truck stop in Nebraska who told me the government adds lithium to the water supply to keep us docile
He leaned over between pumps at 2 in the morning and said 'you know why everybody's so tired all the time, it's in the tap water to make us easier to herd' and I still think about it 3 years later, has anyone else heard that specific claim before?

Nah lithium in water is actually a mood stabilizer not a sedative.

...and then my cousin told me he heard the same thing from a guy at a laundromat in Ohio, but that guy said it was calcium instead of lithium, something about making bones weaker so people can't fight back as hard. Now I can't drink tap water without thinking about it, but also I can't help but wonder if these are just the same rumors floating around truck stops and laundromats everywhere. My other cousin swears by leaving a pitcher of tap water out overnight because the chlorine evaporates out, but he also thinks fluoride is a mind control agent so who knows where the truth really lies.
