Stumbled on a stat about the JFK files that floored me
Was deep down a rabbit hole on the National Archives website last night looking at the JFK Assassination Records Collection. I always figured most of the files were released years ago, but apparently around 3,000 records are still completely withheld or redacted as of 2023. That number surprised me more than I expected, since I thought it was like 99 percent out there by now. Has anyone else dug into those withheld documents and found anything that seems like it might actually matter?

That "3,000 records still withheld" stat floored me too - though honestly, knowing my luck they're probably just my tax returns from 1992 or something equally boring.

At this point I'm half convinced the withheld records are just a 500 page PDF of the government's group chat memes from 2014.
