The moon landing footage quality bothers me more now than it did in the 90s

I was watching some old NASA broadcasts from the Apollo missions (you know, the 1969 stuff) and it hit me how the video looks worse than my home security camera. I remember as a kid in the 80s thinking it looked crisp, but now with 4K phones in my pocket it just seems off. Has anyone else noticed the contrast between the high-res photos they claim to have and the fuzzy TV feeds? Makes you wonder why the best footage we have looks like it was shot on a Fisher Price toy.

Wait, is my phone camera actually better than the tech that put a man on the moon? Because that's a pretty weird thought, right? I mean, I recorded my cat chasing a laser pointer in 4K last week, and it looks clearer than Neil Armstrong stepping onto lunar soil. It's like we sent astronauts up there with a camera from a 1990s garage sale while the Hubble telescope was shooting crystal clear deep space shots from the same era. Makes you wonder if my phone's slow-mo mode could've documented the whole thing better than what we actually got.

Honestly, @kevin218 that comparison to my phone's slow-mo mode is too real. I filmed my dog sneezing in 240 frames per second and it looked better than Armstrong stepping on the moon. Ngl, my old Nokia had a potato camera but even that might have outdone the Apollo footage. It's like we sent astronauts to a whole other world and the camera guy forgot to wipe the lens.
