Unpopular opinion: That chat with my building inspector changed how I see 9/11 truthers

I was swapping stories with our city inspector last Tuesday about old plumbing jobs, and he pointed out that the WTC dust samples they tested in 2002 showed way more thermite residue than most people admit. He said 'the official story ignores a lot of chemistry for convenience.' Has anyone else had a professional in a technical field quietly debunk a mainstream conspiracy theory on the job?
