Had to pick between marshmallows and chocolate chips in my popcorn mix last night
I was making a sweet snack mix for movie night and realized I only had enough room in the bowl for one, so I went with chocolate chips. Big mistake. The chocolate melted into a goopy mess and stuck to everything, ruining the whole batch. What do you guys put in your popcorn, sweet or savory?

Ugh the "melted chocolate chips ruining everything" thing is such a bummer. I did that once with M&Ms (which I thought would be safer) and they turned into this weird waxy shell situation, totally gross. My go-to now is actually those little freeze dried marshmallows (you know, the ones that come in the hot chocolate packets sometimes) because they stay crunchy and don't turn into a sticky nightmare. But savory is where it's really at for me honestly. I do popcorn with nutritional yeast and a little cayenne, it gives it this weird cheesy kick without actual cheese getting all weird. My wife thinks it smells like feet but I love it.

Man I totally get that M&M thing, I tried the peanut ones once thinking the crunch would save me but nope, just sad greasy shells... @benlewis you gotta try wasabi peas if you haven't already. They're like little crunchy green firecrackers that stay hard even after a week in the bowl. Though fair warning, your wife might not love the smell any more than the nutritional yeast, my roommate said it reminded her of a public pool changing room. But the heat hits different when you're half asleep watching a movie.
