Microwave popcorn or stovetop? I finally tried the real thing.
Made stovetop popcorn for the first time last night after years of nuking bags from the store. It took 8 minutes and left oil splatter all over my stove but the kernels actually popped better than any microwave batch I've ever had. Does the extra cleanup actually make it taste better, or am I just convincing myself?

Honestly, my buddy tried stovetop once and ended up setting off the smoke detector in his apartment building. The popcorn was good though, worth the embarrassment he said.

That stovetop popcorn charade just proves some things have to be experienced the hard way to be truly appreciated.
