My $3 gas station pickle juice experiment backfired hard
Stopped at a Shell outside Tucson last Thursday and grabbed a jar of pickle juice because I saw a guy on TikTok chug it after a run. Took one sip in the parking lot and my throat closed up for a second, it was way more vinegary than I expected. I still finished the jar over two days but learned my lesson, the tiny shot bottles are safer. Has anyone else tried this stuff or am I the only weirdo who got burned by a drink that costs less than a soda?

That "costs less than a soda" part got me, because it's the same trap I fall into ALL the time. We see something cheap and we automatically assume it's low risk, like the price tag equals how careful we need to be. But honestly, that logic never holds up, a $2 mystery meat hot dog can wreck your whole weekend just as fast as a $20 steak can. Your pickle juice thing is just another example of how we treat cheap stuff as disposable and then get surprised when it fights back. It's like buying those off brand cleaning products that burn your eyes because you figured, hey, it was a buck fifty. We've all been taught that expensive things need caution and cheap things are fine, but that's just not how bodies or chemistry work.
