My cousin convinced me to try ranch dressing on apple slices

We were at a family BBQ last Saturday and she dipped a Granny Smith slice right into a bowl of ranch. I almost walked away but she insisted I try it, said it's been her go-to snack since middle school. Honestly the salty creamy flavor with the tart apple worked way better than I expected. I've been telling people about it and half of them look at me like I'm crazy. Has anyone else tried this combination or am I the only one late to the game?

Have you tried it with a green apple versus a red one, or does it not matter to you? I feel like the tartness makes or breaks that combo.

Hold up wait wait wait. MIDDLE SCHOOL?! So she's been walking around with apple slices and ranch in her lunchbox since she was like 12 years old and nobody ever said anything? That's wild to me. I'm just now hearing about this combo and I'm a grown adult, like I could've been eating this for decades and nobody thought to mention it?? I gotta say though, the tart green apple thing makes total sense (red apples would probably be way too sweet and gross with ranch, like a dessert gone wrong).
