Okay so I tried freezing my gummy bears before eating them, like a weird tip from a coworker in Austin.
It totally changes the texture (they get kinda chewy-crunchy) and now I can't go back to room temp ones. Anyone else have a weird prep trick for a normal snack?

Let the peanut butter cups sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours, they get perfect. I actually do the same thing with my chocolate covered almonds, the cold makes the shell snap and the nut stays crunchy. Once you go cold you really can't go back to the room temp stuff, it just feels wrong now.

My friend in Denver puts her peanut butter cups in the fridge. The cold makes the chocolate snap and the filling gets firm, which is way better. I get not being able to go back.
