Pro tip: I tried putting potato chips on a peanut butter sandwich

Last Tuesday I was out of bread so I used two big Ruffles as the buns and slathered peanut butter between them, thinking it'd be a quick genius snack. Instead the chips got soggy in like 30 seconds and the whole thing fell apart in my hands, leaving me with a sticky mess. Has anyone else dealt with a chip-based sandwich that just disintegrated before you could even take a bite?

You said the chips got "soggy in like 30 seconds" but I actually think you're using the wrong kind of chip here. If you use something thicker like kettle cooked chips or even Doritos, they hold up way better because they're sturdier. I've made these a bunch of times and you gotta eat them right away or the moisture from the peanut butter just kills the crunch.
