Ranch on pizza is fine, but honey on pizza is the real crime

Last week I ordered a pepperoni and honey pizza from a spot in Portland because my friend swore by it. I took one bite and literally had to scrape the toppings off, the sweetness wrecked the whole thing. I can defend pineapple all day but honey crosses a line. Has anyone else tried a sweet drizzle on pizza and regretted it?

Hold up, you said you scraped the toppings off, but then blamed the honey. The pepperoni and cheese probably carried most of that sweet mess into every bite, so the damage was already done. I tried a honey drizzle on a margherita once and it was weird, but way less gross than what you described. Next time, just order the honey on the side, that way you can test one slice before ruining the whole pie.
