Saw a guy dip his fries in a milkshake at the mall food court last Saturday

I was grabbing lunch at the food court and this dude next to me dipped his fries right into his chocolate shake like it was normal. He told me it's been his go-to since he was a kid and that the salt and sweet mix is unbeatable. Anyone else do this or am I right to think it's kinda weird?

...and that's exactly how I ended up trying ranch dressing on a brownie once. Not my finest moment but hey, when you're desperate at a food court you do weird things. The salt and sweet thing is real though, I've been known to dip my popcorn in chocolate sauce at the movies and people look at me like I'm crazy. Fries in a shake is actually pretty tame compared to some of the combos I've seen. At least he's not out here putting ketchup on ice cream or something.
