Spent $6 on a bag of 'premium' salt and vinegar chips and got ripped off
I was at the convenience store on 34th street the other day and saw these fancy chips next to the regular ones. They were almost $6 for a normal size bag, which is crazy. I thought they'd have that super strong vinegar kick I love, but nope. They tasted like plain potato chips with a whisper of vinegar. I could have bought two bags of the store brand for that money. Has anyone else been burned by a pricey snack that didn't deliver?

A buddy of mine bought those same chips last week and described them as "fancy air with a hint of regret." He said he'd rather just lick a salt shaker and call it a day.

Did you see that article about how chip companies are literally just pumping more air into bags instead of putting actual chips in there? @torres.leo your buddy nailed it honestly. I read something about how the bag size stays the same but the actual product weight keeps dropping over the years. Ngl I tried a bag of those trendy vegetable chips last month and it was basically a sad collection of crumbs and oil stains at the bottom. Tbh they should just be honest and sell us a bag of salt and call it a flavor experience.
