TIL black coffee with a pinch of salt is actually drinkable
A diner cook in Tulsa added salt to my cup instead of sugar by mistake last week and I drank the whole thing before noticing, it cuts the bitter taste way down. Now I want to know if this works on iced coffee or if I am just fooling myself.
I tried this with cold brew from that place on 11th and it works even better because cold brew is already less bitter. The salt just smooths out the sharp edges, so you taste more of the coffee itself instead of that burnt tang. Give it a shot with iced, just use like half a pinch since cold masks the salt more.
