Took me 4 hours to find a snack that doesn't make a mess at my desk
I work at an IT help desk and I got really tired of crumbs getting into my keyboard. I tried granola bars but they always left little pieces everywhere. Chips were even worse, grease on my mouse and everything. I spent way too long, like 4 hours over a few days, testing different snacks. I finally landed on those freeze dried yogurt bites, the kind for kids. They don't crumble, they're not sticky, and they dissolve fast if you drop one. Has anyone else found a good desk snack that won't ruin your equipment?

Have you tried the rice cake thins? I keep a bag of those at my desk, they barely leave any crumbs and you don't get that greasy feel on your hands. lol

Yo, that's actually pretty smart. I remember reading somewhere that freeze dried snacks are becoming a big thing for people who work around sensitive equipment. Apparently the lack of moisture helps keep crumbs from getting sticky and stuck in keyboard keys. I've been using those little pouches of dried edamame myself, they're salty and crunchy but leave basically zero mess. The only thing I'd watch out for with the yogurt bites is if you got sweaty fingers from typing all day they might get a little melty and tacky. But honestly four hours of testing is dedication, I respect the hustle to find a clean snack solution.
