Tried dipping my pizza in chocolate pudding last night
I was at a friend's birthday party at Pizza Hut on Central Ave and they ran out of ranch dressing. I saw chocolate pudding cups on the dessert table and thought why not give it a shot. It actually wasn't bad, kind of like a sweet and salty thing, but I got some weird looks from the table next to us. Has anyone else tried something like this with a dessert dip?

The chocolate pudding thing actually makes more sense than people realize because pizza sauce and chocolate both have that acidic tang if you think about it. I once dipped a slice of pepperoni in a hot fudge sundae from a Wendy's across the street and it was surprisingly solid. The salt from the pepperoni cuts through the sweetness just like how salted caramel works. Now I'm wondering if that new dessert pizza they're testing in the Tampa location is secretly inspired by experiments like yours.

Man pizza places are missing out on a huge opportunity here lol. Like why hasn't anyone thought of a dessert pizza dip bar with stuff like caramel sauce and melted marshmallow fluff? You could be onto something that could seriously take off. Honestly I bet those pudding cups would also slap with their breadsticks if you're into that sweet and salty thing. Sounds like you stumbled onto a hidden menu item before Pizza Hut even knows it exists.
