Why does nobody talk about how bad salted caramel is everywhere now
I was at a gas station in Tulsa last month and grabbed a bag of those little popcorn clusters thinking they would be a safe bet. Took one bite and it hit me with that fake salty sweet flavor that is in literally everything now. I sat in my car and realized I have been buying salted caramel stuff for like 3 years without ever stopping to think if I even like it. The tipping point was when I found a salted caramel chocolate bar in my pantry that I didn't even remember buying. That flavor is just everywhere and nobody questions it. Has anyone else just suddenly noticed how much of this stuff sneaks into your snacks without you asking for it?

You sat in your car and realized you have been buying salted caramel stuff for like 3 years without ever stopping to think if you even like it." That one hit home for me. I used to defend salted caramel as a nice upgrade from regular caramel, but now I think we've just been trained to expect it everywhere. Last week I bought a bag of pretzels that had salted caramel coating on them, and halfway through I realized I was just eating them out of habit, not because they actually tasted good. The flavor is so loud and overbearing now.

It is crazy how brands just decide something is the new standard flavor and we all go along with it without question.
