Hit 500 foil highlights in one shift last Saturday and my hands are still mad at me

I was booking back to back full heads all day and didn't even realize I'd hit that number until I looked at my booking app at the end of the night. The weird part is my wrist didn't start hurting until I was chopping veggies for dinner, not while I was actually working. Has anyone else noticed the pain shows up way later than you'd expect?

Wait, does @leep89 type 500 notes in one go or did I misread that? Cause that sounds like a whole different kind of nightmare. But yeah, the delayed pain thing is real weird. I had a similar thing happen after a day of painting my living room - like, my shoulder felt fine the whole time I was rolling the walls, but then that night I tried to lift a bag of groceries and nearly dropped it. It's like your body just holds it all in until you stop moving, then everything decides to fall apart at once. Maybe it's adrenaline or something, I don't know, but it definitely messes with you when you think you're fine and then your hand won't even hold a spoon.

Right? Typing 500 notes in one go is just asking for carpal tunnel. My wrists hurt just thinking about it. That kind of grind is not sustainable for anybody. You'd have to stop and stretch every ten notes just to make it through.

@coran63 Dude, 500 is nightmare fuel. I hit 300 once and my right hand was basically a claw for the rest of the day.
