I walked into a new salon in Austin and saw something I didn't expect
I was checking out this place called 'The Parlor' on South Congress last week. They had a huge, clear glass bowl on the front desk filled with these little folded paper slips. I asked about it, and the stylist said it's where clients write down one nice thing about their service before they leave. I mean, I always thought feedback was just online reviews or tip notes. But seeing people actually stop and write something positive, then fold it up and drop it in, felt way more real. Has anyone else tried something like that in their shop?

Man that's such a cool idea, it really makes the good feedback feel special. Did it make you want to write something too? I love when a place finds a simple way to feel more human. It beats just staring at a star rating on a screen.

Totally agree about the star rating thing feeling empty. You said it makes good feedback feel special, and that's the key for me. It changes the whole goal from getting a high score to making a real connection, even a small one. Do you think that shift in why people leave feedback changes what they actually write? Like are the notes more honest or different somehow?
