I was doing a stacked bob on her, maybe 4 inches off, and she reached up and gently held my wrist and said "hold on, I need to sit with this for a sec." We just sat there for like 20 seconds with the scissors still open. She explained her last stylist in Tucson always rushed the back and she'd cried in her car twice over it. I slowed way down after that and she's been coming to me every 6 weeks for almost 2 years now. Do you all check in with clients before you commit to the final shape, or just read the room?
