Spent 4 months and $1200 redoing a color correction before I admitted my lighting was the real issue
Client came in with box dye over bleach, wanted to go from a level 3 to a level 7, and I kept blaming the developer and the porosity instead of just checking my salon lamp situation. After 4 sessions and $1200 of product, a rep from the supply store in Sacramento pointed out my overheads were skewing warm and I was overcorrecting every formula by half a tube. How do you all factor in your actual workspace lighting when you build a correction plan, or am I the only one who learned this the hard way?
